Home Staging Mastery in 6 Easy Steps

You want to sell your home and move on to your next life so you listed your home, now you have no idea what to do next when prospective buyers knock your door to see your house. You are not the only one feels this way, most of the sellers felt this way. Do not get panicked, there are easy ways to stage your property for possible buyers.

Most sellers have hard time to change their decoration, color of the wall or putting their personal belongings to the storage, it is understandable that you are emotionally attached to your house. It might be hard at the beginning however start to think that this is not your home anymore, it is a marketing object that you have to sell in the shortest amount of time for top dollar.

Curb Appeal

You have only one chance to make the best first impression so work on your curb appeal. Plant new colorful flowers, clear all little branches, rake the leaves, trim the bushes, and make sure your lawn is healthy, green and well manicured.

Make it Bright

Turn on all the lights you have even in the closets, leave shades up, drapes opened. Most people feel more comfortable when they can see every corner in the room.

Clean it and clean it again

Vacuum the carpets, mop the ceramic tile and wood flooring before showings, clean bathroom faucets and mirrors. Clean homes sell faster regardless of their location or floor plan. Prospective buyers feel that you take care of your house and feel more comfortable buying it.

Organize Your Home

De-clutter all the drawers, closets, bathrooms, living room and bedroom walls, counter tops especially kitchen counter tops. Your home should feel like a model house.

Make Your Home Smell Nice

Pet odor is not acceptable in any way. Take the trash out; clean the sink from dirty dishes whatever can smell bad take it outside fast. Make sure that your house smells fresh air.

Set the Perfect Temperature

Set the thermostat to the most comfortable temperature so that possible buyers can see and preview the home comfortably.

Remember to give enough time for the showing Realtors and possible home buyers that can focus on your property and make a positive decision. Sometimes they see a lot of homes and cannot be on time for the showing. Giving at least 15 minutes to them will be helpful. Showing your property might get overwhelming after awhile unfortunately it is the nonnegotiable part of any real estate deal.

Staging your home for the showings might take longer at the beginning however after couple showings you will get used to the showing process. Writing a little checklist might help you to remember all the small details for the showings.

You are almost ready to leave your home however before going outside your home remember to turn off your TV and put a nice slow music so that possible home buyers would enjoy your property and hopefully send you a nice offer soon.
